Dear users, business partners, and friends of Meeho! ApS.
It is with great pleasure that I announce the availability of Meeho!™ version 1.4.0, made available to all users on Monday 3rd of August 2009 at 02:00 AM CEST +02:00.
Version 1.4.0 is the largest milestone for Meeho!™ so far. Version 1.4.0 brings the possibility to handle project economy, a shiny new notification system, e-mail integration, Quick search and much more. In the following, I will guide you through the new features.
» Files under Clients

Now, files can be added under clients in Meeho!™ too, e.g. work quotes as PDF files, pictures, Word documents and so on. Adding files under clients works in the same way as how it is done under projects, through the Files tab - and the searching for files and their content is just as simple as you're used to.
» Economy under Projects

Project expenses are not only made up of time tracking, but typically also of costs of goods sold, expenses on transport etc. In Meeho!™, it's now possible to create the full economic overview via Economy.
Economy makes it possible to add lines with buying and selling prices, e.g. "Business cards in 4 colours", bought from a supplier for $500 and sold to the client for $750 - perhaps including a rebate on the selling price.
Meeho!™ shows you the contributional margin and even adds the numbers from Time tracking to the mix, giving you a comprehensive overview of the economy of a project, both showing expenses on time spent and income from budgetted time.
» Project economy report under Reporting

With Economy under your projects, you need an overview of the total project economic picture - you get that via the Project economy report, accessible from My reporting and Reporting, respectively. The report shows you the complete contributional margin for your projects and how your expenses, income and revenue are distributed across the years.
» New client view

We have introduced a new client view showing you all the clients in Meeho!™ in a grid, having the possibility to sort the clients by their name, postal code, last contact date, estimated sales etc. The view type choice is accessible in the navigation menu.
» Notifications

Meeho!™ sported a notification system from the very beginning, but it has been widely improved with version 1.4.0.
Notifications brings a new and improved ability to get to know what is going on in Meeho!™. In the top menu, the number of new notifications is displayed and by a single click, you'll see a list of all the newest notifications in the system. By means of Notifications you will never miss the additions or changes made to your data by your colleagues, partners or friends in Meeho!™.
» E-mail integration

Wouldn't it be nice if the e-mails you send to your contacts automatically were added in the system?
With the new e-mail integration, the mails you send via Meeho!™ are automatically stored under the contacts you are mailing. Just click an e-mail address of a contact, and your favourite mail application opens for you to send your mail - the rest is taken care of by Meeho!™. That way, the e-mail correspondences with the contacts are always saved for produced an up-to-date overview of what has been said in writing.
» Keyboard shortcuts

If you click your name in the top menu, you'll arrive at My profile. Here, you can create your own keyboard shortcuts pointing at projects, clients, files, or contacts of your choice. For instance, you can define the key combination Ctrl-Alt-3 to being a shortcut to a project, or Alt-6 to be a shortcut to a client. The shortcuts give you lightning-fast access to the data you often work with.
» Quick search

There is searching in Meeho!™ and then there is Quick search.
Quick search gives you the ability to find your data in a couple of keystrokes. Under My profile, the shortcut action keys are defined, and then Quick search is available by pressing e.g. Ctrl-Alt-1. Type in a search string, hit enter, and use the arrow keys to quickly navigate the top three search results.
Never before has searching been this easy, incredibly effective and - above all - fun!
» Contact groups

Use the new Contact groups to create groups of all the contacts that receive your monthly newsletter, or perhaps a group with the contacts that you're going to invite to your next staff party. There are many possibilities, and Contact groups makes it easy to organize the many different contacts that your company is in touch with.
» Global task types

Before, you only had the option of creating task types under Time tracking in each project. Now, this has changed.
With version 1.4.0, it is now possibble to create global task types. We're talking task types that are available for use in all your projects in Meeho!™ by default. The global task types are created under Configuration where it's also possible to edit or delete them. With global task types, you never have to create the same task types again and again with each new project - they're automatically available under Time tracking.
» Export of planning

Besides Meeho!™, you might be using iCal or Outlook to synchronize your planning. That's why we've given you the option of exporting your planning in Meeho!™.
You use Tools for accomplishing the task, accessible via the cog button to the right in the main menu under a project or a client. Here, your planning is exportable to the popular ICS format, readable by iCal for Mac, Outlook for Windows, Evolution for GNOME2, newer mobile phones etc.
» Client login under Clients

Use Client login to add client users who get a special, client-friendly access to the projects you choose.
Imagine you have Client A whom you're doing a project for. In the project, you have some files that you wish to share with Client A. First, you create a client user under Client A in Meeho!™, and then you grant access to the project. That gives your client easy and simple access to the files you wish to share plus the ability to view the status of the projects you're working on.
» Notepad

In the top of Meeho!™ is an icon to the right, resembling a piece of paper: that is Notepad. If you find yourself in need of taking a few notes and not wanting to open Word or a similiar application, use Notepad to write what you need - a small, handy way of quickly taking notes in Meeho!™.
» Meeting notifications

When another user adds a meeting in Meeho!™ and adds you as responsible for the meeting, you have the option of accepting or denying the meeting under Notifications. This is done to make sure you never miss which meetings you are requested to take part in, and you have a direct option of confirming or denying participation.
» Contacts in Meeho!™ Mobile

Meeho!™ Mobile has been updated with the opportunity of calling clients directly from Meeho!™ Mobile, along with the ability to view a list of and search for all your contacts under Contacts, equalling easy and fast access to your vital data directly from your mobile phone.
» Regarding the road to Meeho!™ version 1.4.0
The road to Meeho!™ version 1.4.0 has produced great challenges, new possibilities and loads of hard work during the white summer nights of 2009. On that notion, I'd like to express my deepest gratitude towards all the great feedback, the critique and the comments on Meeho!™ that we have received the past 4 months.
